Hi! I’m Tina
I write sweet, closed-door romances about imperfect people finding connection, often when love arrives at the most inconvenient time.
Set in cozy fictional Canadian towns, my stories are filled with second chances, later-in-life discoveries, romantic tension, complicated families, and the courage it takes to let someone in.
I want reading a Tina Cyr romance to feel like talking with a thoughtful friend over coffee — warm, honest, hopeful, and lightly playful. There may be grief, awkward moments and difficult choices along the way, but there will always be big feelings, just kisses, and a guaranteed happy ending.
The Stories I Write
My characters tend to be a little quirky and beautifully imperfect. They’re navigating careers, family expectations, old hurts and unexpected changes while searching for a place — and a person — that feels like home.
Whether I’m writing a slow-building romance, a second chance or two people whose carefully organized plans go completely sideways, emotional connection remains at the centre of the story.
Behind the Stories
My writing is inspired by the places I’ve lived, the people I’ve met, and my experiences as a neurodivergent person. My background in the social sciences shapes the way I explore relationships, communication and the complicated reasons people behave as they do.
You’ll often find neurodivergent traits in my characters — not because I set out to teach a lesson, but because that is part of how I experience and understand the world.
